Episode #6 - Italian Zucchini Pizza with Nonna Paolone and Special Guest Cristina Macoretta

Episode #6 – ‎Nonna Paolone‬ is in her home town of Castropignano, Italy with special guest Cristina Macoretta. Cristina makes the best Zucchini pizza and she will be teaching us how to make it. Zucchini’s start to bloom here in Italy in June, July and August. So, we eat lots of dishes with Zucchini in them including pizza.


INGREDIENTS and INSTRUCTIONS: Nonna’s do not use recipes so we are following along. If you follow along you’ll be able to make it just like Nonna Cristina.

*Also, you don’t have to make your own dough. You can find pizza dough already made in your grocery store.

Ingredients Needed: – Sliced Zucchini – 1 Chopped Yellow Onion – Shredded Mozzerella Cheese – Parmasean cheese – 3 Cups of Warm Water – Flour (1 bag or 3 1/2 Cups of Flour) – this amount will make 3 pizza’s (if you have left over dough refrigerate and use for another day.) – Yeast – Salt – Garlic – Oregano – Olive Oil

Pre-Heat oven to 220 celsius or 420 fahrenheit.
