Inepisode #41 we are back in Castropignano, Italy for the Summer! Today I meet up with Melissa Ciancio while Nonna recovers from jetlag. Melissa is going to teach us how to make Pizza Rustico. Rustico is very traditional Italian food made more by the mothers then the Nonna’s. The crust is made with pie dough. It is delicious and the best part it’s easy and fast to make. Watch to get the step by step instructions on how you can make this Italian dish for your family and friends. One important ingredient that Nonna always adds to her recipe is cooking with her heart. INGREDIDENTS:
– Ricotta (250 grams or 1 Cup)
– 1 Diced Zucchini
– Onion (Cipollotto or porro)
– Parmesan Cheese
– 1 Egg
– Walnuts
– Nutmeg or Black Pepper
– Galbanino or Mozzarella Cheese
– Philadelphia Cream Cheese
– 100 grams or 3.5 oz
– Puff Pastry Dough
– Salt
– Olive Oil
– Cook at 180 Celsius or 350 Fahrenheit
– Cook for 30 minutes or until the sides are golden brown.
