Today, Zia Zeza is going to show us how to make a classic Portuguese lunch which includes Pastéis De Bacalhau (Cod Fish Cakes). These Cod Fish cakes are so tasty and she also shows us how to make red bean rice with carrots. Your family and friends are going to love this, it’s so healthy and delicious. PASTEIS DE BACALHAU (Cod Fish Cakes) INGREDIENTS:
Dried Salted Cod Fish
5 yellow potatoes
3 Eggs
Parsley
Salt
Pepper
Onion
Canola or Vegetable Oil
Olive Oil
*Before you begin you must let the Dried Salted Cod fish soak in water for 3 days. Change the water twice a day (once in the morning and again at night).
RED BEAN RICE INGREDIENTS:
½ of Onion (Chopped)
Olive Oil
1 Canned bean (you can use whatever canned beans you like)
1 Cup of Converted Rice (Zeza uses Uncle Bens Original Converted Rice)
2 Cups of Water
2 Carrots (Sliced)
Parsley (Chopped)
2 Dried Bale Leaf.
Salt
Pepper
